jaimelopez.me is the personal website of Jaime Andrés López Rendón. The opinions, posts, talks, and editorial content are mine and don't represent any current or former employer, client, or advisory engagement.

Reading the blog, subscribing to the newsletter, or contacting me through the form does not, by itself, create an advisor-client relationship. Engagements start only when both sides sign a separate engagement letter.

Content on this site is editorial. It is not legal, tax, financial, investment, medical, or fiduciary advice. If you're making a decision that depends on your specific situation, get advice from someone qualified to give it under your jurisdiction.

If you do hire me as an advisor, the advice you receive in that engagement is governed by the engagement letter, not by this notice.

Everything original on the site — text, photography, illustrations, code snippets, design — is © Jaime Andrés López Rendón unless explicitly marked otherwise. Logos and trademarks of third parties (Globant, Cannes Lions, etc.) belong to their respective owners.

You may quote short passages with clear attribution and a link back. You may not republish full posts, mirror the site, or use the content to train machine-learning models without my explicit written permission. This is a deliberate reservation under EU Directive 2019/790 Article 4(3) and equivalent rights elsewhere.

When you post a comment, submit the contact form, or reply to a newsletter, you keep ownership of what you wrote. By posting a public comment, you grant me a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the moderated comment on the post where you submitted it.

Don't post anything that's unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights. I can remove any submission, reject any comment, or block any sender at my discretion. Repeated abuse may result in your data being purged regardless of normal retention.

I link to external sites — articles, talks, books, products. A link is not an endorsement and I'm not responsible for what those sites publish, store, or do with your data. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.

The site is provided as-is. I make no uptime promises and may add, remove, or rewrite content at any time. Older versions of posts may not be preserved.

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, I exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site. Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country imposes a stricter floor (e.g. EU consumer rights, UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, Brazilian CDC), that mandatory floor applies and these terms do not reduce it.

If anything on this site causes you a loss that I'm legally on the hook for, my total liability is capped at the greater of SGD 100 or the amount I have charged you in the past 12 months for services or products purchased through this site. As of today the second number is zero.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. "Non-exclusive" means I won't argue against you bringing a consumer-protection claim in your home jurisdiction if mandatory law gives you that right.

If I update these terms in a way that materially affects your rights, the "Last updated" date at the top will change and I'll surface the change at the top of the page until the next material update. Continued use of the site after a change is acceptance of the new terms.
